It can be
a mystery to
us why we get
locked into
thoughts, beliefs
and habits
which we know
reduce the
quality of
our life. Cognitive
Hypnotherapy can enable
you to gain
insight into
these aspects
of your life
and find solutions
that enable
you to take
control of
your behaviour.
Everyone is
a unique individual
so although
problems may
appear similar
and be given
labels such
as phobias,
depression,
addictions,
each problem
pattern will
have been formed
uniquely and
will therefore
require a different
sequence of
techniques
and suggestions
based on each
individual
person. For
example you
may have a
particular
fear but the
reasons for
this will be
different from
someone else
who has a similar
fear.
This is where
Cognitive Hypnotherapy
differs from
traditional
forms of hypnotherapy.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy
is a unique
form of hypnotherapy
which is tailored
to your specific
needs and uses
your own natural
trance states
that you enter
into voluntarily
on a daily
basis. When
did you last 'drift
off' when someone
was speaking
to you, or
when you were
driving, or
watching television?
It draws on
recent discoveries
and ideas from
Psychology
and Neuro-
Linguistic
Programming (NLP) and incorporates
them into a
modern framework
for therapy.
NLP has a
central place
in Cognitive
Hypnotherapy
and is the
study of how
each individual
makes sense
of their world.
Each of us
is an individual
with our own
perception
of ourselves
and the world
around us,
which has developed
over time,
and is based
on our past
experiences
and our interpretation
of them. In
other words
we all have
our own individual
'model of the
world' Neuro-linguistic
programming
can help you
explore those
perceptions
and understand
your own 'model
of the world'
and how it
affects your
thoughts, feelings
and behaviours
and your interactions
with others.
Each one hour
session costs £50.
The first session
involves a
thorough assessment
of what you
are bringing
to the therapy
session and
what you hope
to achieve.
From this I
will discuss
with you how
we can work
together to
achieve your
goals. The
number of sessions
needed varies
for each individual.
An average
is 3-4 sessions
although you
may feel you
need less or
more.
